Title: Building a Data Strategy Framework for Security Leaders

Description:

It’s more clear than ever that physical security leaders need to be able to gain data literacy to better understand the needs of the business. So many times, security is the keeper of massive amounts of data about how people move around a business, the busiest traffic areas, where the most incidents occur, and much, much more. But how is that data used? Where does it go? And what’s security’s role in understanding it?

In this discussion, panelists will discuss the biggest challenges facing security practitioners when it comes to data literacy, how to articulate data use cases, and ways to use data to drive better decision-making across the organization. Attendees will walk away with actionable steps to take to collect better data, determine the kind of insights both internal and external stakeholders need, and ways to tie this information back to achieving business and data governance goals.

Learning Objective #1: Understand tactical steps to creating data use cases related to business goals

Learning Objective #2: Identify specific metrics and insights valued by internal and external stakeholders

Learning Objective #3: Identify and understand data sources and their role in storytelling across the business

Type: All Access Education
